Photograph is part of Charles McKim's portfolio of 17th and 18th century Newport architecture and scenes. Image was titled "Tory Corner" by McKim. Mat has a handwritten number "16" at bottom right corner. Reverse has a handwritten caption reading: "S41-1 T-4/Tory Corner Thames St Newport, R.I., /From the Collection of Chas. F. McKim/Gift of his daughter".
