Description
A glass plate negative depicting the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe House (1863), located at the northwest corner of Pelham Street and west Touro Park. The house was owned by Wolfe, and subsequently became a boarding house (La Forge Cottage). Architectural features include a long porch supported by carved posts, dormered windows, three chimneys, clapboard siding, windows with shutters, and overall carved detail. A side entrance with stairs is covered by a small porch and a striped shade. The house is bordered by a picket fence and sidewalk. Two additional buildings can be seen to the left and right of the frame.
