Description
A glass plate negative depicting Miramar under construction. The house was built between 1912 and 1914 and was designed by architect Horace Trumbauer. At the time the image was taken, the house was nearing completion. The general form of the house and several details, such as keystones, a balustrade, and quoins are visible. Scaffolding, a ladder, and a temporary structure are seen at far left. Construction materials and debris are seen surrounding the house.
