A photographic print of the Redwood Library's west facade, as seen from Bellevue Avenue. Large tree branches with leaves frame the building at left and right; an 1858 addition (Reading Room) is visible at left (background). Handwritten caption beneath image reads: "Redwood Library, Newport, R.I."; print is signed "Ernst". Note on reverse reads: "From Miss Ernst to Mrs Bara-/her Christmas card 1940". An uneven left edge suggests that the print may have been torn from a greeting card.
