Description
A two-dollar banknote produced for the Rhode Island Union Bank. Note includes engravings of ships surrounded by foliage, and a portait of an unidentified 18th-century man. Handwritten and printed text on note reads: "THE RHODE ISLAND UNION BANK/Will pay Two Dollars on demand to/Wm Crooke or bearer. NEWPORT June 1 1860." The note is signed by two additional people.
