Description
An assortment of Russian enamel kovshi: PSNC.10051: AN ENAMEL SILVER GILT CLOISONNÉ TRADITIONAL KOVSH (Russian, circa first quarter 20th-century). The handle features a cabochon stone surrounded by scrolling foliage on an ivory background bordered with a blue circle pattern. The body of the kovsh has a floral motif on an ivory background and interior gilt wash.
PSNC.10071: AN ENAMEL SILVER GILT CLOISONNÉ KOVSH (Russian, circa 1896-1908) decorated with stylized floral motifs of pink, blue, green yellow and red on an ivory ground bordered with blue dots. The hook handle has the same design. Marks: 84 (silver standard) on the base, maker unknown, Moscow.
PSNC.10074: AN ENAMEL PLIQUE A JOUR KOVSH (Russian, circa first quarter 20th-century) with a multi-colored design. The interior base is centered with an eagle in a medallion with a border of multi-colored birds and floral design. The edge is bordered with gilt beading.
PSNC.10075: AN ENAMEL SILVER GILT KOVSH (Russian, circa 1890). The gilt interior features green and amethyst cabochons. The body has an ivory background with a scrolling floral motif of pink, purple, light blue, pale yellow and green. Marks: Cyrillic stamp, 84 (silver standard), Imperial Moscow, bears the mark of Ivan Petrovich.
