"Quite a Catch"

An oil on Swedish masonite panel painting entitled “Quite at Catch” (American, c. 1960) by folk artist Ralph Cahoon (American, 1910-1982). The scene depicts sailors hauling in a net full of mermaids in front of a pier with ships and buildings, one having a sign reading "McBean Co.". The signature on the lower right reads: "R. Cahoon."
