Description
A WHITE MARBLE LIFE SIZE ALLEGORICAL STATUE OF DIANA THE HUNTRESS (1853) BY GIOVANNI MARIA BENZONI AFTER COYSEVOX (1809-1873) (Italian, mid-19th century) from the ex-collection of Catherine Lorillard Kernochan and by descent to Herbert C. Pell of "Oakwood", and acquired by Pierre Lorillard from the artist in Rome. The statue is raised on an oval modern swagged pedestal made for the group by Skylight Studios.
