A PAIR OF BRONZE DORÉ TORCHERES WITH VERD ANTIQUE MARBLE BASES AND ECCLESIASTICAL MOTIFS (Italian, 19th century). They are styled after Baroque candelabrum by Sebastiano Nicoloini and Andrea Balbi and dated 1698. They are decorated with diocesan crests, monks with prayer books, and three pascel angels at the tripod base. The fretwork gallery is topped with alabaster bowls with a bacchic theme. The model was retailed by Caldwell from the Chiurazzi Foundry (active since the 1870's) in Naples, Italy.
