Description
Glass plate negative showing By-the Sea, once located on Bellevue Avenue. The home was an early project of the architect George Champlin Mason, built for the August Belmont family. It was later home to socialite Evalyn Walsh MacLean, before it was demolished and its lands incorporated into the grounds of Rosecliff by their mutual owner.
