PAIR OF MARBLE WALKING LIONS (LION QUI MARCHE) (French, 19th century) after originals by Antoine Louis Barye (1796-1875) and carved of Carrara statuario marble. Each lion is walking with its jaw open and tail curled, on naturalistic bases with rectangular plinths. Original to Rosecliff.
