Correspondence from Private Jacques Sevin to Mrs. Marguerite Stokes, thanking her for giving him a letter and telling her that he has received orders to go overseas. Further, he states that he received a weekend pass to go to the French Ball in New York for the celebration of Bastille Day. Private Sevin talks of family and friends and wishes his good friend well. Mrs. Stokes served as the private secretary to Mrs. Frederick H. Prince of Marble House.
