A SHAPED TALL HATBOX (American, 19th century) made of wood, with a leather strap to secure the lid and a side handle. There is a red and white sicker on the side of the box reading "White Star Line/ Mrs. E. M. Armstrong/ S.S. Olympic/ Sailing Oct. 31st/ Deck C/ Room 99/ Berth ______." Beneath the side handle it is stamped in black with the initials "G.K.A." (for Gwendolen King Armstrong).
