"Never Mind!"

ONE COLORED LITHOGRAPH (C.1884) of the painting “Never Mind!” by Frederick Morgan (English, 1856 – 1927). In the depicted scene the older child comforts the younger child whose doll has just broken. The models are two of the artist’s children, Lily, aged 9, (born Lilian Emmeline, on January 5, 1875) and Reggie, aged 3 (born Reginald Frederick, on January 3, 1881). The original painting by Morgan was very popular in its time and many copies, such as this lithograph, were created. Printed on the bottom left corner of the print is “Fred Morgan, 1884.” It is housed in a molded oak frame.
