Description
A DELFT GINGER JAR (Dutch, 1894) made by Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) and retailed by Gilman Collamore & Co., New York. The central cartouche is decorated with the scene of a windmill. The lid is topped by a finial of a crouching lion with its paws on a shield. It is marked on the underside with a picture of a jar, the initials JT, "Delft" and below this "23b D K. P." Adhered to the underside is the original sales label reading "Gilman Collamore Co., N.Y. - 5th Avenue, and 30th Street."
