ONE OIL ON CANVAS GARDEN SCENE (American, early 20th century) attributed to David Maitland Armstrong (American, 1836-1918) or his daughter Helen Maitland Armstrong (1869-1948). The scene depicts two young children in a colorful impressionistic garden setting. The two children are most likely Gwendolen Ella Armstrong (1911-1972), the granddaughter of David Maitland Armstrong, and her brother.
