A SPIRALLY-MOLDED SALAD BOWL (American, 19th century) by Black, Starr & Frost, New York. It has a scrolled foliate rim, and is engraved with the initials "GK" at center (for Gwendolen King). The underside is stamped "Black Starr & Frost/Sterling/6368" with a picture of an eagle above.
