Description
A FAIENCE FIGURINE OF A FRENCH BULLDOG (French, c. 1880) by Emile Gallé (French, 1846-1904). The dog is molded in a sitting position with its head held upright, it has bulging brown glass eyes, its muzzle is molded into a frown, and its body is decorated with blue and white circular and heart shaped spots on a yellow ground. The figure is signed on the back left leg.
