Description
A cherub porcelain group titled “Felicite Couronnee (Crowned Felicity)” (German, 19th century) by the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, Dresden, Germany, based on a model by Michel Victor Acier (1736-1799). The polychrome painted cherub wears a quiver of arrows slung over its body, a blue cloth flows over its waist, and it stands with a crown of roses held over two doves which are perched on a white and gilt pedestal marked "Felicité couronnée." The pedestal and cherub stand on a ring base decorated with a gilt Greek key design around the edge. It is marked on the underside with two crossed blue swords and incised with the model number "E 82."
