Description
A MAHOGANY TEA TABLE (American, 19th century) with a circular top and molded rim. It is raised on a turned spiral-grooved central column and three surrounding slender plain columns with block capitals and bases. These rise from a shaped platform with three shaped legs. The legs are decorated at the knees with carved cherry stalks and end in well-defined ball and claw feet. This table is original to the Jones family, the first occupants of Kingscote, who lived in the house from 1841-1863.
