Description
A HARDWOOD FIRE SCREEN (Chinese, 18th century) with a glazed square silk needlework panel decorated with numerous exotic birds, water fowl, and plants on a cream silk ground. The frame has a band of pierced conjoined scrolls, between molded borders. It is raised on end-supports with similar pierced brackets.
