Description
A SMALL LIDDED BLACK LACQUER TEA CHEST (Chinese, circa 1865) that opens to reveal two stamped tin lids leading to tin lined compartments. The name "D. K. Jr.", for David King Jr., is written in gold lettering on the top of the hinged lid. The interior tin lids are stamped with a floral design and have round floral carved ivory handles.
