Description
A LOUIS XV ROSEWOOD MARQUETRY TABLE DE CHEVET (BEDSIDE TABLE) (French, late 18th century) raised on four cabriole legs which terminate in acanthus leaf shaped brass sabots. The serpentine reddish marble top is set into a raised three-sided gallery with a scalloped edge. The sides of the table have heart shaped cut-outs flanking and open shelf. The right side of the table has a shallow full-length drawer with a circular brass knob. Strips of marquetry frame the open shelf, sides, and run the length of the legs.
