Description
A QUEEN ANNE STRAIGHT BACKED SIDE CHAIR (English, c. 1710) covered in a contemporary 18th century gros-point needlework secured with brass tacks. The chair stands on four cabriole legs which terminate in pad feet. The front two legs have shells carved on the knees. The needlework upholstery depicts red and blue flowers with curving green leaves on a cream ground.
