Description
A LOUIS XV STYLE FAUTEUIL DE BUREAU (DESK CHAIR) (French, c. 1900) composed of beech wood with an arched caned back, sides, and seat. The crest-rail is carved with a flower head and trailing leaves at center. Padded armrests with scroll handles rise above a circular caned seat with a modern synthetic leather upholstered loose cushion. The molded seat rail is carved with flower heads and trailing leaves. The chair stands on four cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet, the front three legs have carved flowers on the knees.
