Description
A LOUIS XV STYLE GILDED SIDE CHAIR (French, c. 1900) attributed to the workshop of Jules Allard and Sons. The open back has a cartouche shaped canned back panel. The crest rail is carved with trailing foliate decoration. The caned seat is covered by a loose green silk velvet squab cushion by Prelle et Cie. The serpentine seat apron and knees are carved with foliate decoration. The chair stands on four cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. En suite with a matching settee (PSNC.9853.1).
