A PAIR OF CONVERTED OIL LAMPS (French, 19th century) with round black cardboard shades. The bodies of the matching lamps are composed of a central bronze dore Corinthian column on a pedestal base. Formerly oil lamps, they have been converted to electricity. They are stamped on the base with the maker’s mark reading "Brevete D’invention/Hardot Lampiste/Rue Des Fosses MontMartre/N0 14 A Paris."
