Description
A HENRI II STYLE BUREAU (French, late 19th century) from the workshop of Jules Allard and Sons. A marble top with a molded edge sits above three shallow drawers, below are two carved panel doors enclosing shelves. The bureau is raised on four carved feet. Original to Consuelo Vanderbilt’s room at Marble House, the bureau matches the accompanying wardrobe (PSNC.230).
