A ROCOCO REVIVAL NIGHT STAND (French, late 19th century) from the workshops of Jules Allard and Sons. Original to Alva Vanderbilt’s bedroom at Marble house, the gray painted nightstand has a marble top and is fitted with two drawers. The body is carved with raised floral and foliate designs. The night stand is supported by four cabriole legs with curled foliate toes.
