Description
A CARVED WALNUT SWIVEL CHAIR (French, late 19th century) from the workshops of Jules Allard and Sons. Original to Mr. Vanderbilt’s bedroom at Marble House, the chair has a circular cane seat and curved paneled back, the seat is able to swivel around the base. The curved seat rail is carved with stylized foliate designs. The whole stands on four cabriole legs ending in whorl feet.
