Description
A LOUIS XV STYLE FRUITWOOD SIDECHAIR (French, late 19th century) from the workshops of Jules Allard and Sons. Original to the Guest Sitting room at Marble House, the yellow silk damask upholstered seat matches the fabric covered walls of the room. The arched crest rail, back splat, and molded seat rail are carved with stylized foliage designs. The chair stands on four cabriole legs ending in whorl feet.
