A PAIR OF BRONZE AND ORMOLU CANDELABRA (French, 19th century), each with a patinated bronze infant Dionysus figure between two ormolu candle supports in the form of vines. The candelabra are supported by a white circular marble base raised on four bronze feet. The Dionysus figure on PSNC.314.1a-c stands on one foot with a piece of drapery and bag behind it, the figure on PSNC.314.2a-c stands with its feet crossed with an animal skin and urn behind it.
