Gilt-wood Frame with photograph of William K. Vanderbilt

A rectangular gilt-wood frame with a studio photograph of William K. Vanderbilt (1849-1920) by Alman & Co., New York. In the photograph William K. Vanderbilt is shown seated in a carved wooden armchair against a painted backdrop. His hair is parted down the middle and he wears a dark suit with a large pearl stick pin in his cravat. On the bottom left corner of the photograph it is marked "L. Alman & Co." and on the bottom right it reads "172 Fifth Ave., N. Y. / and Newport, R. I."
