Description
A PAIR OF CHINESE EXPORT BEAKER VASES (Chinese, c. 1780) with flared rims and long cylindrical bodies. Each is decorated in underglaze-blue with tall panels and elaborate borders of Fitzhugh type. The sides are painted in famille rose enamels with vases filled with flowers amidst scattered floral sprigs and insects in flight. The border pattern on PSNC.18.2 is slightly askew.
