Description
A WOODEN CRICKET BAT (English, c. 1910) manufactured by Gunn & Moore, Nottingham, England and retailed by W. Wisden & Son, Duke St. Brighton. The bat handle is wrapped with waxed black twine. The front of the bat is imprinted twice with the maker’s mark reading "Gunn & Moore Ltd / Makers / Nottingham / England", below this is "Treble Spring", and then the model type "The Autograph." It is stamped on the front with the retailer’s information "W. Wisden & Son / Duke ST / Brighton." The reverse has the name "P. Palmer" carved by the handle, along with the imprinted name "William Gunn", and "Specially Selected."
