Description
A Chinese export famille-rose tankard (Chinese, c. 1775) of bell shape, with a strap handle, and flared circular base. The body is decorated with a central scene of a maiden and attendant in a boat with three figures standing on the opposite bank. This scene is surrounded by a gilt floral filigree design. Flowering branches and floral medallions decorate the body by the handle.
