Description
An English sterling silver 20 oz. hot water jug (London, 1773) attributed to Charles Wright. The body is decorated with flower festoons held by bow knots in raised relief over the surface. The jug has a domed hinged lid and wicker-covered handle. The jug is monogrammed with "MMC" in overlapping script letters. The underside is marked with British hallmarks, indicating that it’s composed of sterling silver produced in London in 1773, and has the maker’s mark of "CW."
