Two framed fabric samples (18th century):
.1 – Printed cotton with repeating interspersed floral spray tendrils highlighted with India red and indigo blue against a cream ground. Originally forming part of a bed valance.
.2 – Printed cotton with India red and brown alternating motifs of a bird astride a branch feeding two of its' young and an Eastern- inspired floral cluster against a cream ground. Cut to form part of a lambrequin bed or window valance.
