Description
An American slipware pie plate (Pennsylvania, 19th century) of large circular shape with a pie crust edge, the redware plate is decorated with horizontal and vertical wavy bands of yellow tinted slip and covered with a clear lead glaze. The reverse is partially blackened from the firing process and unglazed.
