Description
A famille-rose dessert plate (Chinese, Canton, c. 1820), the Chinese export porcelain plate is painted at center with three maidens and children on a terrace with a lily pond and a garden pavilion in the background. The rim is painted with a continuous landscape scene with the figures of a sage and his attendants, two fishermen on a lake, two laborers, and three harvesters in a paddy.
