Two pieces of correspondence enclosed together. The first letter typed, written to Philip King from D. A. Davis. The second is a handwritten letter from Philip King to Ella Rives King (Mrs. David King). The typed letter was composed by a deputy director of Les Foyers du Soldat [Soldiers' Homes], one of three welfare organizations along with the Red Cross and the YMCA which provided soldiers with places to sleep, eat, take in entertainment, etc. while on leave.
