Description
Three silver tablespoons (American, Newport, mid-late 18th century) made by William Hookey (American, c. 1728-1812). The matching spoons have a deep oval pointed bowl, the reverse of which bears a v-slashed drop. The oval end handles are engraved with the letter “M” in fancy script. The handles are marked on the reverse with Hookey’s touch mark reading “WH” in Roman block letters within an oblong punch.
