Description
A silver dessert spoon (American, Newport, mid-late 18th century) made by William Hookey (American, c. 1728-1812). The spoon has a shallow pointed bowl, the reverse of which is molded with an oval drop. The end of the handle is engraved with the monogram “JAS” in fancy script below the numeral “I.” The reverse of the handle is partially struck with two “WH” touch marks.
