Description
A Chinese export famille-rose bowl (Chinese, c. 1750) on a raised foot base. The front exterior of the bowl is painted with pink and white tree peonies growing from behind blue enamel rockwork, an iron-red fence to one side, and a branch with two chrysanthemum blossoms. The reverse is painted with a corresponding floral sprig. The interior rim is decorated with an iron-red and gold cell diaper band. The center of the bowl is painted with a red and white chrysanthemum.
