Description
A tea caddy (English, c. 1800) of oval form with two interior demi-lune pewter containers, each with a removable lid and stopper. The exterior is decorated with an overall design of interlocking gold circles centered on small snowflake like designs against a black ground. The top of the hinged lid has a central oval medallion with the monogram “AR” in script. The front of the tea caddy is fitted with a brass lock plate.
