Description
A set of six soup plates (German, mid 19th – early 20th century) produced by the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory, Dresden. Each plate is has a molded gilt edge with a raised paneled basket weave rim, they are hand painted at center with a unique bouquet and surrounded by scattered floral sprigs and insects. They are marked on the reverse with under-glaze blue crossed swords and impressed with the number “17.”
