Description
A set of twelve dinner plates (American, early 20th century) produced by Lenox and hand painted by W. H. Morley. The plates are painted at center with scenes of different American fish in underwater settings and surrounded by an inner and outer gilt rim. The name of the fish depicted is written on the reverse in script:

.2 = “Brook Trout”
.3 = “Weak Fish”
.4 = “Salmon”
.5 = “Blue Fish”
.6 = “Black Bass”
.7 = “Common Mackerel”
.8 = “Spanish Mackerel”
.9 = “Sea Bass”
.10 = “Sun Fish”
.11 = “Pike”
.12 = “Yellow Perch”
They are marked on the back with the Lenox trademark in green.
