Description
A partial hand-painted dinner service (English, 19th century) composed of two rectangular dishes (.1-.2), fourteen round dinner plates (.3-.16), and a fruit stand (.17). The pieces have a scalloped edge with a gilt dentil pattern. The rims are decorated with an outlined green border divided into large and small panels containing green floral branches and pink sprigs by a series of repeating green stripes. The centers are painted with differing detailed flower sprigs and green floral branches spreading from the rim border. The two rectangular dishes have molded side handles. The fruit stand is supported by a tapered pedestal base.
