Description
A pair of Chinese export plates (Chinese, 18th century) painted at center with a scene of three figures in a courtyard, in the background structures surround a body of water and birds fly over trees in the distance. The scalloped rims are decorated with a scrolling patterned band with acanthus leaves, flower heads, and shells in tones of pink, red, blue, and gold on a white ground. A gilt heraldic/armorial crest is painted along the top center of the rim.
