Description
A porcelain tea set (English, c. 1878) in the Japonesque Revival style, made by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons. The set is composed of 1 lidded teapot, 6 cups, and 6 saucers. The teapot has a brown twig shaped handle, spout, and lid finial. The body is decorated with gold fans and branches with silver blossoms against a white ground. The whole is raised on four low circular feet. The cups and saucers are decorated in a similar fashion. The undersides are marked with an urn icon and the name “WEDGWOOD.”
